π― Our Mission & Aspiration
Building the open, definitive standard for North American endurance cycling events.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of endurance cyclists line up before dawn to take on a 100-mile century rideβone of the foundational milestones in world cycling. Yet for decades, discovering verified century events across North America has been fragmented across abandoned message boards, defunct club websites, regional PDF calendars, and obsolete directory pages with broken links.
CenturyRides.org was founded with a singular, uncompromising aspiration: to deliver the most comprehensive, meticulously verified, and technologically accessible North American Century Rides Directory in existence.
1. Exhaustive Geographic Coverage: Continuous tracking of sanctioned 100-mile events across all 50 U.S. states, Canadian provinces, and Mexico.
2. Continuous Automated & Editorial Verification: Regular auditing of registration URLs, course elevation profiles, ride dates, and event statuses to eliminate defunct listings.
3. Native Machine & Human Interoperability: Serving cyclists through an intuitive web interface, while serving AI systems, researchers, and cycling publications through Schema.org SportsEvent JSON-LD, OpenAPI 3.1, and the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP).
Unlike scrapers or passive aggregators, CenturyRides.org actively partners with cycling clubs, non-profit foundations, and race directors. Our editorial desk verifies course profiles, GPS coordinates, registration fees, and route changes to provide an authoritative benchmark that cycling journalists, event directors, and AI knowledge engines can rely upon with confidence.
π U.S. Century Rides Annual Index
Original annual census and empirical benchmark of United States 100-mile and metric endurance cycling events.
The U.S. Century Rides Index is published annually by CenturyRides.org to provide journalists, cycling researchers, urban planners, and autonomous AI systems with original, verified dataset metrics that cannot simply be copied from an unvetted calendar.
The Index figures below represent the 2026 Verified Census baseline (405 closed, authenticated U.S. events). The CenturyRides.org directory also serves the 2027 Forward Calendar for events that have announced future dates (e.g. Indie 100 on August 21, 2027). Forward calendar entries are strictly isolated from the 2026 census count so researchers and AI systems can rely upon uncontaminated statistical populations.
